"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go." - Joshua 1:19
Anxiety plays a significant role in everyone's life, and it could bring a deep separation in the relationship with God. It is essential to deal with the problems of anxiety soon before it makes devastating effects in our soul, mind and emotions. However, Scripture which is the Word of God has given us lots of hope in handling the stress and fear. And we have faith in the God who can turn things around us when the situation is against us. It is essential to know what the Bible says about anxiety.
God has loads of blessings for us, and He doesn't want us to walk through the paths of fear, worry and anxiety. Devil is a liar, and he wants us to stay in the pits of the fear so that the faith in us gets low. Devil triggers anxiety, stops us from reaching the God. The Lord says in Philippians 4: "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." The foremost thing we need to do, to get rid of the anxiety is to give our life to Jesus Christ. Once you have fixed your thoughts and faith over Jesus, He starts to dwell among your situations. When you start submitting your things to Jesus, slowly the burden shifts over to God, and He makes you feel better.
When David cried out to God in fear and anxiety feeling in Psalm 13:5, at the end of that Psalm, he acknowledges the power of God and his sovereign plan in his life. It is the stand we as Christians need to make and place our trust in the Lord, even when the devil tries to attack with the thoughts of fear and stress. Matthew 6:25-26 Jesus said to His people "Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?" We have a better hope that Lord is holding everything and He takes care of us. Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever, that means He will be with us forever in helping us to reach the destination He wants us to have.
Cast all your burden…for He cares for you. We people of Christ are not supposed to fear for anything, and if we do so, it is a sin in the sight of God. Therefore trust in God with all your heart, and you will find peace in your mind.
