The Bible as the Word of God

For Christians, the Bible is regarded as the Word of God, a divine revelation of God's character, purposes, and will for humanity. The Bible is composed of 66 books, divided into the Old and New Testaments, written by different authors over a period of more than a thousand years. Christians believe that the Bible is inspired by God and is therefore without error in its original form. The Bible serves as the authoritative source of Christian doctrine and practice, and is regarded as a guide for living a faithful and fulfilling life. Christians believe that the Bible is the living and active Word of God, capable of transforming hearts and minds, and leading people into a deeper understanding of God's love and grace.
